Have you ever tried?

Have you ever tried to teach

A small kid who knows no speech?

How do you explain him, the world,

Who is unknown to every new word!

Definition of noun and its' adjective,

Kind of verb: transitive or intransitive

Each small, niggling query he makes,

The lifetime of the universe, it takes.

Yet, we all grew old 'enough', questioning,

Then why are questions a terrible thing?

Have you ever tried to write down

Your feelings that cause a giggle or frown?

You are what you feel or sense,

Love, hate, envy, fear, or guilt intense.

Weaving the letters in the fibre of grammar,

Pouring your heart out with no stammer.

Vexation of not finding the perfect phrase,

Isn't disparaging difficult, let alone praise?

“Words are cursed entities,” they say.

I agree, for black and white is not grey!

Have you ever tried to forgive

A wrong that will now obliquely outlive

All the good that paved your way

To condone the conduct of egregious play?

I do have, and would have done again,

Had my esteem not been equated with vain.

Is vengeance all these people now seek?

'Cause I hear forgiveness is for the weak.

Do all these make me bad? Sure, they do.

I ain't no longer a rainbow, just blue!

Have you never tried to try

The intriguing ideas kiting in the mind-sky?

The spirit of endeavor disguised as a string,

The spool of determination is what's holding!

What is a human with no zeal for the new,

As if it were a kite with no breeze through!

Try trying, for it's worth taking the risks,

Unless you are fond of obsolete floopy disks.

Ah! Who am I to lecture ideas such declined?

It's worse than the blind leading the blind!
